My Story

From Glasgow to Culinary Excellence

My journey began in Glasgow, where I was born and developed an early passion for cooking. Growing up in a vibrant city known for its rich culinary traditions, I was inspired by the diverse flavors and techniques that surrounded me. This passion led me to pursue a career in the culinary arts, and I've never looked back.

Travels and Professional Growth

My culinary career has taken me across the UK and beyond, allowing me to hone my skills in a variety of prestigious establishments. I've had the privilege of working in several renowned hotels and I have earnt various culinary accolades along the way.
My travels have not only expanded my culinary repertoire but also enriched my understanding of global cuisines and diverse cooking techniques.

Passion for Mental Health in Hospitality

The hospitality industry is demanding, and after years of long hours and intense pressure, I experienced burnout. This personal challenge highlighted the importance of mental health, especially in an industry known for its high stress levels. Having overcome this myself, I am now passionate about advocating for better mental health practices within the hospitality sector, striving to create environments where creativity and well-being coexist.

Although I no longer work the long hours typically associated with the hospitality industry, my love for food and the culinary arts remains as strong as ever. I live and breathe cooking, and my enthusiasm for sharing this passion with others drives everything I do.

A Focus on Dietary Requirements and Nutrition
Iain is committed to creating inclusive dining experiences that cater to all dietary requirements. With extensive experience in developing menus for gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free diets, he ensures that every dish meets the highest standards of taste and nutrition. Additionally, his four years working with a wellness company have equipped him with the knowledge to design meal plans that maximize nutritional benefits, ensuring that each ingredient contributes to a balanced and healthful diet.

I am deeply committed to sustainability and ecological cooking. Throughout my career, I have championed practices that reduce waste and promote the use of locally-sourced, organic ingredients.
